Designed for older children beginning swimming lessons and those with limited swimming experience

This class is conducted by a qualified instructor with the following outcomes 

• Establish water safety skills.

• Movement skills include basic kicking and floating – without floatation aids.

• Safety skills include: enter and exit the water with safety 

• Float and kick on back unaided at least 10m

• Start developing correct head and hip position as well as appropriate kicking and breathing in both freestyle and backstroke

Children are recommended for an assessment by their instructor when they competently complete the following skills:

• 10m Back Float

• 5m Torpedo kicking

• 10m correct breathing action for Freestyle

The next level of class is known as Turtles

• Each lesson runs for 30 minutes

• Cost per class is $19

• There is a maximum of 4 children per class

• Bring a swimming costume, goggles and towel. 

• Classes Run:

  • Monday to Friday 3.30pm-6.30pm

  • Saturday 8.00am-12:30pm
