Designed for children who have mastered swimming 30m of freestyle and backstroke

This class is conducted with its emphasis on improving freestyle and backstroke technique and endurance. Breaststroke is introduced, as is the backstroke turn.

• Enhancement and correction of freestyle and backstroke technique.

• Introduction of breaststroke. Movement skills include; correct arm and leg positions, working towards correct pull and kick.

• Drills, working towards stroke effective timing and breathing.

• Introduction of the backstroke turn

• Consolidate and further water safety skills

Children are recommended for an assessment by their instructor when they competently complete the following skills:

• 60m Breaststroke with good technique

• 120m Freestyle with good technique and using the correct start and turn

• 120m Backstroke with good technique and using the correct start and turn

The next level of class is known as Sharks

• Each lesson runs for 45 minutes

• Cost per class is $19

• There is a maximum of 8 children per class

• Bring a swimming costume, goggles and towel.

  • Monday to Friday 3.30pm-6.30pm

  • Saturday 8.00am-12:30pm
